Their model helps the youngest victims of abuse heal and thrive by providing a safe space where children can tell the worst story of their lives only once, thereby reducing trauma for them and their families. Hitchcock Center for Women, Cleveland, Ohio
Hitchcock Center for Women in Cleveland’s Hough-Glenville neighborhood, helps women break the cycle of substance abuse in a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment that promotes healing. Hitchcock’s principle is that mothers battling addiction shouldn’t have to choose between getting treatment and taking care of their children. They are one of the only residential treatment centers in the region where a woman can stay with her children (up to age 12) while she is receiving treatment. This unique accommodation helps keep families together and prevents additional trauma from separation. https://hcfw.org/
